Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,

Some say in ice.

From what I"ve tasted of desire，

I hold with those who favor [1] fire.

But if it had to perish [2] twice,

I think I know enough of hate

To know that for destruction ice

Is also great

and would suffice

火與冰

有人說世界將結束於熊熊烈焰，

有人則說結束於凜凜寒冰。

慾望如火，體會其烈，

則知世之歸於火爲我所願。

但若其必兩度遭逢毀滅，

我知恨之極至，

必然明瞭，毀滅之冰，

同樣魁偉，

同樣順人心意。
